Project Delivery | Scheduling | Cost Controls | Disputes & Claims | Risk Management

At pmsi, we specialize in project delivery solutions including capital program and project solutions. We are involved in the project delivery from planning through out design, permitting and construction. We have extensive knowledge and experience with traditional low bid delivery process, as well as, alternate delivery processes such as General Contractor / Construction Manager (GC/CM) and Design-Bid-Build.

Our approach supports AACEs “best practice” for Total Cost Management “TCM”, which is an asset optimizing model designed specifically for capital projects.

Strategic initiatives, such as capital projects with new facilities, replacements and renewals, can be significant investments and require enormous number of resources and activities. To deliver these projects on time and on budget it is essential to identify the critical issues and risk for the project. This will enable management and project team to focus their resource and time on important issues and implement these into the execution strategy and contract documents.

Project delivery organization; project team and definition of responsibilities; communication and reporting, as well as, delivery processes are critical factors in project delivery. A significant challenge for organizations that deliver programs (multiple projects) is the complexity with reporting and project status, lessons learned and benchmarking between projects, as well as, the challenge of managing multiple projects at the same time.

pmsi approach to program management is:

  • Apply “best practices” for effective and credible solutions and results
  • Create visibility of project status
  • Be flexible in the design of procedures and solutions and don’t constraint the project team in doing their critical job functions
  • Provide the tools to do the job
  • Provide support such as Project Office

pmsi approach is a pro-active and provides management with on-going status reports, monitoring of performance vs. plan, and helps resolve any project variances.

pmsi has developed a project delivery system “Myriad” that supports our approach and our clients needs. We do retail “@Risk for Project” from the Palisade Corporation. @Risk for Project is a powerful resource, cost and schedule risk analysis tool that works in conjunction with Myriad or as a stand alone application.
